Counter developing Oishii's famed strawberry-cradling packaging was an exhilarating challenge. Oishii redefined how we think of produce, by taking a rare Japanese strawberries, and inventing a method to vertically farm them indoors within the U.S. These incredibly delicate strawberries required unique protective packaging, originally only produced on a small scale in Japan. During my tenure at Harper + Scott, I helped them re-source and expand on their packaging in China. We reverse engineered a hyper pliable plastic and the adhesion method of that material to a protective outer shell. This was an extremely technical development, that really tested our understanding of plastic production.
